ProClay Super Sculpey Soft!

• This is the GREY! Everyone has been requesting that we get the Super Sculpey in grey andnow it is here. Like Sculpey, Super Sculpey Proclay is an easy to condition polymer requiring minimal hand kneading or rolling through a pasta machine to prepare for use. It features fine tooling and detailing characteristics, and does not "fill in" after tooling. If you opt to paint your cured piece, we recommend acrylic paint or the application of water based glaze prior to painting with oils. Paint should be applied in thin washes rather than thick coats for the best paint to clay bond. After curing, Super Sculpey bakes to a ceramic-like hardness and can be sanded to a fine smoothness.

ProClay Super Sculpey FIRM!

• This clay has been specially developed by the makers of Super Sculpey for professional sculptors, animators and artists. It is a firmer version of the much-loved Super Sculpey and the opaque grey colour means that detail is easy to see and adjust.

Basic Directions:

1. Start with clean hands and work area. Good working surfaced include a glass or metal surface, disposable foil, or wax paper. Do not place unbaked clay on furniture, flooring, carpeting or fabric. Kneed clay until soft and smooth.

2. Shape and tool into desired form. Pieces thicker than 12 mm (1/2in.) may need “bulking out” with crumpled aluminum foil and/or armature wire.

3. Bake at 130 oC (275 oF for US consumers) for 15 minutes per 6mm (1/4in.) DO NOT MICROWAVE. DO NOT exceed the above temperature or recommended baking time. Supervise children during baking.

4. Remove from oven and let cool.

5. Once cool, baked pieces become hard and can be polished, sanded, drilled, carved, and painted with 100% acrylic paints. If using oil or water-based acrylics, seal with Sculpey Glaze before painting. Pottery or dishes made with Super Sculpey Firm should be used for decorative purposes only, not with food, beverages, or smoking materials.
